Hi Jeff, I can appreciate the feeling of outdoor work in this photo. I enjoy doing that as well because nature is my favorite, and I find solace being alone and working outside as a parent. You can clearly see you are working around your home with your essay, and in this case you are preparing pots around your deck area. I feel the point of view and depth of field of the focal points could be enhanced by getting a shot while on the ground with them and from up above. In the first photo, I would try not capturing the deck on the right side to place the pots more in a view of foreground and middle ground with something in your yard as beyond that as the back ground (maybe the bag of dirt and garden tools). It looks the day may have been overcast when you shot these, so try capturing these photos by choosing different apertures and shutter speed to brighten up and clear the focus more. The picture of the bag and garden tools has a nice contrasting element to it with the dark background to the right and the lighter background to the left. The settings could also be played with more to make it crisper and brighter on the subject. Maybe even try with the flash if needed. Good job! Selena
